A musical ear trainer that uses a unique method to help you acquire perfect or absolute pitch. This is the ability to recognize and name any musical note, without the aid of a reference note. Such an ability differs from the more common one of relative pitch, in which notes can only be identified in relation to a reference pitch.
Using this software, learning a particular note entails listening to a random sequence of notes that includes the note you selected to learn. Whenever the note is played, your aural recognition is reinforced by visual stimuli that serve to connect the sound of the note with its name and position on the piano keyboard. When, after listening in this way, you are confident that you know the note well enough, you can proceed to take a test.
